How it works

Four steps. You don't export anything, learn anything, or change what you already use. At the end you have a business scoreboard: your questions, answered every morning, and a box to ask a new one.

The four steps

  1. Step 1: We find where your numbers live.

Most businesses keep their numbers in a handful of places: your sales, your books, your orders, your ads, your spreadsheets, your website, and whatever else runs the business. We list them, check what connects already, and write you a one-page audit report: what connects, what we'd need to build, what it costs. Fixed price, $750.

  2. Step 2: We connect them.

Each one is copied, read-only, into one place that belongs to you. Read-only means we can see the numbers but never change them. Square, QuickBooks, Shopify, Google Sheets, Google Analytics and most common tools already connect. If yours doesn't, Wes builds the connection. That's part of setup, not an extra. You keep the account, and if you leave, the copy stays yours.

  3. Step 3: We agree what the words mean.

This is the part nobody else does. “Profit” might mean five things. “Labor cost” might or might not include the owner's hours. We write down, in plain English, what each word means for your business. The numbers are built from those definitions and nothing else. When the answer is uncomfortable, that's why you can trust it.

  4. Step 4: You ask the scoreboard.

Your scoreboard has your questions and their answers, updated every morning. You can ask it a new question any time. New questions are answered from the definitions we agreed, so the answer to “profit” is always the profit you agreed. It is never a guess.

If you use Claude or ChatGPT, you can connect it to your scoreboard and ask from there. You get the same answers, from the same definitions.

Once a month we send you a short note on what the numbers said and what we'd look at next. If a number ever looks wrong, that's when you call us.

What's underneath

The copy of your numbers lives in a data warehouse. That's a database built for answering questions, not for running a business. It belongs to you.

Your scoreboard is built on Tractorscope, which Wes co-founded. When you ask a question, the answer comes from the definitions we wrote down together. So the answer to “profit” is always the profit you agreed.

What we don't do

  • We don't do your bookkeeping.
  • We don't change your systems.
  • We don't send your numbers anywhere you haven't chosen.
  • We don't guess. If your numbers can't answer a question, your scoreboard says so.

Which of these can't you answer today?

Tick any you can't answer. We'll write back and tell you two things. Where each answer is in what you already use. And what it takes to get it. It's free.
